Bun out of the oven!
Crazy mom?

People are really going to start wondering when Ben's speech gets clearer...

A friend had a zombie birthday party this weekend, and so we explained to Ben that zombies "eat brains." In fact, we were running through the grocery store saying "Eat Brains!" (maybe I really am a crazy mom...) Yesterday, it was raining, and I asked him if he likes rain (which he does), and he said "Eat Brains!" (or "eat rain...")

Today, out of nowhere, when I went to get him out of his carseat, he said "Oh-Em-Gee!" I said, "OMG?" And he said "Bears!" (I know where this comes from, it was just very random at that moment).

Actually, maybe he's making puns. Another thing he frequently says is "Hi Kitty!" But I noticed that it's often in response to my saying "Hi Cutie." But it's definitely kitty-he sometimes follows it with a "meow."

What do you all think? Do barely 2-year-olds make puns? Is he already cursed with this horrible affliction? (Seriously, puns run in my family. I make them all the time, and I have no control over it. It's painful.)

He's in a home daycare. I don't think they do a ton of reading (which makes me sad, but she's awesome in most other ways.)

A friend was visiting on Black Friday, and we were shopping, and we found these shirts with this crazy bear print. Both of our reactions were "OMG Bears!" It was funny, and we repeated it a lot. We both bought the shirts, and when I was wearing it the other day, he pointed to it and said "OMG Bears." But I wasn't wearing it the time in question.

Ben's pronunciation still isn't terribly clear. "OMG" actually comes out more like "Ah-Dee-Dee." He's not allowed to say Kate.
