Breastfeeding and medication information

Mods: Please delete if not appropriate! Thanks!

I have seen people in these communities (X-Posted) who often ask what medications they can take while breastfeeding and the AAFP just released a fantastic statement regarding breastfeeding which included links to helpful sites.

Here is the statement:

Interesting. Have them opened for reading later.

I can't recommend enough the Dr. Thomas Hale book ("Medications and Mother's Milk"). He's really the leading authority on current research-based information regarding medication and breastfeeding. He also has an online forum. The general public can search posts, though only healthcare professionals (lactation consultants count!) can register and post questions. But the forums are a great resource for information in addition, and/or more current than the existing print edition of the book.
